Pooh Shiesty Is Back At It… Again

South Memphis Rapper Lontrell Donell Williams Jr., also known as Pooh Shiesty, was released from prison for a weapons violation on October 6th, 2025. On, April 2nd 2026, he lands himself back in jail alongside frequent collaborator, Rodney Lamont Wright Jr., also known as Big30, for allegedly kidnapping and robbing the CEO of 1017 Records, Gucci Mane in Dallas, Texas.

Pooh Shiesty and Gucci Mane Go Face to Face

Shiesty was sentenced to five years in prison on firearms conspiracy charges in June 2021, briefly after signing to the 1017 Imprint. Pooh but was released early in late 2025. The 2025 comeback single, “FDO“, peaked at number 12 on the Hot 100 and became his highest-charting song as a lead artist, tying “Beat Box 2”.

Allegedly, Shiesty invited Gucci Mane along with entourage to a studio meeting in Dallas, Texas. It is known that Artist and Label arrangements can involve a lot of money along with contractual obligations. Gucci Mane and Sheisty were not seeing eye to eye since before his incarceration. Something about his contract was at the heart of contention between Shiesty and mentor Gucci Mane.

Pooh Shiesty signed to Gucci Mane’s 1017 Records in April 2020 after gaining buzz with his single “Hell Night”. Gucci reached out directly after hearing Shiesty’s music, and he quickly became a standout artist on the label, collaborating on “Still Remember” and appearing on the So Icy Summer compilation.

The Side of Pooh Shiesty Only Fans Will Know

  • October 6, 2025: Lontrell Williams Jr. was released from federal prison after serving approximately three years.
  • December 2025 (roughly two months later): Lontrell Williams Jr. released his first song since prison, titled “FDO” (First Day Out).
  • Early January 2026: Lontrell Williams Jr. reportedly received interest from Yo Gotti’s CMG Records for a potential record deal, amid ongoing tensions with his current label.
  • January 10, 2026: Pooh Shiesty and Big30 traveled to a recording studio in Dallas, Texas. They allegedly carried out an armed takeover during a meeting about Shiesty’s contract with Gucci Mane’s 1017 Records. The group reportedly forced Gucci Mane and others at gunpoint to sign release papers from the label, while also robbing them of jewelry, watches, cash, and other items. Shiesty and Big30 now face federal kidnapping and robbery charges related to the incident.

Pooh Shiesty Backdoor Moves

They met apparently in a music studio in Dallas to discuss their recording contract. Pooh Shiesty, Big30, and seven other co-conspirators then allegedly produced firearms and forced Gucci Mane to sign a release from the contract. He was one of several victims as the other victims were robbed, choked and relieved of cash, jewelry and other high value items.

Several of the co-conspirators began to display items they took from victims on social media hours after the robbery. Shiesty was supposed to be on house arrest as part of terms of his parole. Even Shiesty’s father Lontrell Donell Williams Sr.was also involved with the robbery plot.

Search Warrants on the rapper’s house in Memphis were executed by the Dallas FBI Office April 3rd as evidence is steady accumulating. What was once an awaited return to the music industry has turned sour and became a story that will forever be etched in Rap history.

Final Arrest Made: Pooh Shiesty Behind Bars… Again

Federal authorities charged Lontrell Williams Jr., who goes by Pooh Shiesty, and Rodney Wright Jr., known as BIG30, along with Lontrell Williams Sr., Kedarius Waters, Damarian Gipson, Demarcus Glover, Kordae Johnson, Darrion McDaniel, and Terrance Rodgers. Authorities believe the motive behind the kidnapping was to get Williams out of his contract with The New 1017 Records, which is owned by Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane, whose real name is Radric Davis.
