A starring role that leaves you Strung and a musical Resurrection unlike any other, Chloe Bailey is holding nothing back this summer, and she’s only just getting started.
In her first leading film role and her acting follow-up to 2025’s Fight Night, Chloe stars as Laila in Strung, the latest release from Malcolm D. Lee.
The psychological thriller premiered on June 26, 2026, on Peacock, placing Chloe front and center in a role that demands vulnerability, intensity, and range.
An eccentric psychological thriller, Strung follows Laila, a gifted violinist who enters the world of the elite as a private tutor, only to find herself navigating a twisted web of secrets, seduction, and chaos.
“There are definitely levels to this, baby. I was stretched,” Chloe told HelloBeautiful during the film’s opening-night screening. “It felt really amazing to be able to let all of my emotions out this way and for people to feel it as an actress.”
Push limits, it does.

Dubbed a “sexy thriller,” The singer/actress effortlessly channels her many talents alongside powerhouse co-stars Lynn Whitfield and Coco Jones.
“I love all the psychological sexy thrillers, and that’s what gravitated me toward the project,” she shared. “It had everything I love to watch—plus music—so it was a no-brainer saying yes and attaching myself to it.”
From the big screen to making waves in music Miss Bailey goes above and beyond making her mark on every piece of work, giving a rise to the tripple threat as an acrtress, artist and music producer.

While making huge splashes on screen, @ChloeBailey hasn’t slowed down in music either.
Her latest release, Resurrection, marks her third solo project and pairs her with legendary producer Timbaland for a collaborative album that feels as personal as it is powerful.
“This was a passion project,” Chloe shared during a recent appearance on TODAY with Jenna & Sheinelle.
“This project felt like a resurrection for the both of us.” The singer is shaking things up and we’re here for it.
Since stepping into her own spotlight while taking a break from performing with her sister, Halle Bailey, Disney Little Mermaid star, who made headlines during her former 2024 split from longtime Steamer University professor DDG.
Miss Bailey has embraced a new level of confidence. The two built an incredible legacy together as Chloe x Halle, but carving out a solo identity hasn’t come without challenges.
“I didn’t think I had worth or value without my sister,” she admitted during an interview with SiriusXM. After years of performing as one-half of the fiery duo, finding confidence as an individual artist following her solo debut in 2023 wasn’t easy.
“Anytime I put myself out there, I always get nervous.”
Those fears now seem like a thing of the past.
At 20-ATE, Miss Bailey is proving that there’s no lane she can’t dominate. Whether she’s commanding the screen in Strung or breathing new life into her music with Resurrection, she’s doing it on her own terms, and it’s paying off.
Singer, songwriter, and actress Chlöe Bailey (half of the R&B duo Chloe x Halle) recently celebrated her 28th birthday on July 1, 2026. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on July 1, 1998.
With two major releases in one summer alone, Miss Bailey has us completely Strung on her Resurrection, and we’re loving every minute of it.
