HEARTS

“Evolving.”
“Heart on her sleeve.”
“Broken heart.”

Mariah the Scientist soulfully pens every emotion on the opening track, “Sacrifice,” setting the
tone for her fourth studio album, Heart’s Sold Separately.

A follow-up to her 2023 album To Be Eaten Alive, Mariah once again invites listeners into herworld, showing what it really means to love, hurt, heal, and keep going.

Throughout the album, Mariah doesn’t shy away from vulnerability. Instead, she leans into it, reminding us that love isn’t always pretty, but it’s always real.

“Emotions are a serious thing, and I wanted to portray that in a still light and fun way,” Mariah
told People magazine following her BET Award nominations. “It’s not comical. It’s not
something to be manipulated or toyed with.”

That honesty echoes throughout Hearts Sold Separately. From the highs of falling in love to the
lows of heartbreak, Mariah gives listeners every version of herself.

Billboard chart toppers like “Burning Blue,” earned Miriah her first nomination for 2026,
showcasing not only her growth as an artist but her freedom as a storyteller.

Released in August 2025, just ten months after her now-fiancé Young Thug was released from
jail, it’s hard not to wonder if the timing—or even tracks like “No More Entertainers”—were
inspired by their love story.

“He DM’d me,” Mariah laughed during an appearance on the Bars and Beats podcast. “He has
a really strong presence.”

Atlanta natives Jeffrey Williams and Mariah Amani Buckles have become one of music’s favorite
hometown love stories. On December 16, 2025, during Young Thug & Friends: A Benefit
Concert at State Farm Arena, Young Thug got down on one knee in front of a packed arena and
proposed.

Center stage.
One knee.
One question.
Mariah’s response?
“Guess I’m getting married.”
Simple. Sweet. Soo Mariah.

“I want to make a new genre, and I want to call it A&B—Alternative and Blues.”

That’s Mariah.

Never interested in fitting into a box. She’s always creating her own lane.
A Southwest Atlanta native to her core, Mariah carries herself with quiet confidence.  In her spare time, she enjoys muffins, trips to Italy with her fiancé, and admiring hydrangeas, her favorite flower.

And don’t let the soft melodies fool you. She’ll rap, too, holding her own against
just about anybody in the industry.

With an unorthodox creativity, an engagement ring, and a deeper understanding of love than
most, Mariah the Scientist continues to make music that feels personal without asking for
sympathy.

“It’s a heart, fully open, even after it’s been broken.”
